Description
The VA Phoenix Healthcare System requires the installation of automatic door operators and related controls across multiple locations within its facility, located at 650 E Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012. The prospective contractor must provide Brand Name or Equal parts as specified in the Salient Characteristic document. Services include the installation of Stanley M-Force heavy-duty door operators, DuraFit automatic telescoping sliding doors, and various single operators with electric strikes and push buttons. The scope also encompasses integration and commissioning with facility electrical and security trades for seamless integration of electrified exit devices, strikes, mag locks, card readers, and fire alarm systems. The contractor will be responsible for operating and testing all equipment with the owner's representative present and providing as-built documentation and test reports upon completion. A one-year warranty on all parts and labor is required following owner acceptance. All work must comply with VA Directive 7002 and applicable VA Technical Information Library (TIL) documents, including Master Construction Specifications. Excluded responsibilities for the contractor include providing the 120VAC power supply, cleaning/protection of installed material, permits & inspections, prevailing wage/certified payroll, structural/seismic review, back boxes & low voltage wiring, after-hours premium labor, structural support/wood blocking for headers, overhead weather protection/concrete slope for sliding entrances, and optional safety sensor systems (unless specified). The contractor must keep the work area secure, minimize facility disruption, and remove all debris daily, while adhering to VA safety, confidentiality, and infection control processes.
