Description
This solicitation is for the provision, installation, and testing of a new lateral filing system at Fairchild Air Force Base. The system must be a Kardex Megamat 125 VCM (or equal) with specific dimensions, including 13 lateral carriers with drawers for top tab folders. It requires a manual drive crank for power outages, a fixed standing position posting board, a minimum file capacity of 1,261 linear file inches, a computer interface, a manual bi-parting door with a lock, and a self-balancing design. The unit must be self-contained and not require building modifications for installation. The system should be constructed of high-quality steel with an automotive-grade painted finish and plug into an existing 110-volt outlet or be hardwired. A standard manufacturer's 2-year parts and labor warranty is required. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating delivery, assembly, and installation, as well as disposing of all waste, garbage, and debris in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. Training on the system will be provided prior to acceptance. All personnel performing work on the installation must pass a background check and abide by Fairchild Air Force Base security regulations, and will be escorted for the duration of their work on the installation.
