Description
The Department of State (DOS) is conducting market research to identify qualified vendors capable of providing specialized aviation decontamination services. These services are critical for the Department's biocontainment aviation mission, supporting the transport of patients infected with Category A biological agents such as Ebola, Hantavirus, and Lassa Fever. The scope of services sought includes on-aircraft standby decontamination personnel for immediate response during flight or upon landing, and full post-mission aircraft decontamination. Vendors must demonstrate the capability to decontaminate aircraft and equipment following exposure to Category A biological agents, adhering to strict biosafety standards and ensuring proper hazardous waste disposal in accordance with federal and state regulations. The Department is also interested in vendors' ability to deploy decontamination teams worldwide and their capacity to maintain a rapid response posture, with personnel available to deploy within 6 to 12 hours of mission notification.
