Description
The California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) is seeking qualified vendors to contract for Abatement Testing and Post-Remediation Clearance Services. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, staff, transportation, licenses, and permits necessary to perform these services. Work will be coordinated with the Contract Manager and must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Services include inspections for asbestos-containing materials (ACM), lead-based paint (LBP), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and mold. The contractor will utilize a multi-method testing approach, including visual inspection, bulk sampling, air sampling, XRF testing, and mold sampling. Abatement and remediation will be performed according to regulations, with a phased unit-by-unit approach, resident notification, full containment, and regulated disposal. Post-remediation clearance will involve final visual inspections and air/bulk sampling to verify successful remediation and compliance. All services must be performed by qualified technicians, and the contractor must provide proof of insurance as specified in Exhibit D. The contract term is from July 1, 2026, or upon approval, to June 30, 2029.
