Description
The University of Texas at Arlington is soliciting bids for the complete demolition and removal of the Physical Education Building, a 64,365 square foot structure. This project includes the demolition of the concrete structure, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and the restoration of adjacent concrete surfaces. The contractor will also be responsible for protecting or removing designated trees, signage, handrails, fencing, and sidewalks as identified. Upon completion, all debris will be hauled off-site with an emphasis on recycling, and the site will be graded to a level condition suitable for future development, free of debris. Key dates include a bid issuance on June 11, 2026, a mandatory pre-bid meeting on June 19, 2026, and a bid opening on July 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Central Prevailing Time. The project is expected to take place between October and November 2026.
