Description
This solicitation is for a Firm Fixed Price Construction contract for the decommissioning of underground fuel storage tanks at Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge in Cheney, Washington. The scope of work includes pumping, cutting, cleaning, and disposal of waste from two underground storage tanks (USTs). The USTs are approximately 45 inches in diameter and 75 inches in length and have been partially unearthed. One tank is confirmed to have fuel residue, while the other's contents are unknown. The contractor will be responsible for all applicable notifications and permitting requirements in accordance with Spokane County regulations. The project also includes collecting and analyzing at least two soil samples from underneath each tank for specific contaminants. A final report detailing county permits, disposal plans, analytical hazardous material testing, and quantities of materials removed and disposed of will be required. An option is included for the removal and disposal of the cleaned USTs. The period of performance is from June 22, 2026, to October 30, 2026. Normal duty hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The place of performance is 36916 S. Wood Road, Cheney, WA 99004.
