Description
The Indiana Department of Administration, on behalf of the Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), is issuing this Request for Information/Innovation (RFI) to gather details on comprehensive pharmacy services for adult correctional facilities across the state. The goal is to understand market capabilities, identify best practice service models, and inform a potential future procurement to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective medication services for individuals in IDOC custody. The scope of services requested includes pharmacy operations and dispensing (central-fill, remote, or hybrid models; STAT order processing; courier services; secure packaging; controlled substance management; after-hours support), medication distribution and delivery logistics (statewide routes, contingency planning, tracking systems), clinical pharmacy services (chronic disease management, MAT, medication reconciliation, DUR, formulary management), technology integration (EHR integration, electronic prescribing, reporting), compliance with relevant state and federal standards (Indiana Board of Pharmacy, DEA, HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA), quality assurance, security, cost structures, and vendor experience in correctional or complex healthcare environments. The IDOC is also seeking information on proposed innovations and workflow improvements tailored to correctional operations.
