Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Quality Control for Molecular Diagnostics (QCMD) for customized proficiency testing (PT) panel services. These services include the preparation, distribution, and data collection for enterovirus proficient panels. External laboratories performing enterovirus testing are required to demonstrate proficiency through participation in a CDC-approved PT scheme. QCMD is identified as the sole responsible source capable of meeting this requirement due to its specialization in External Quality Assessment (EQA)/PT schemes. This notice serves as a 'Notice of Intent to Sole Source' and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, any quotations or responses received within ten (10) days of issuance will be considered by the government. The government reserves the discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received.
