Description
NASA/NSSC requires a two-year service plan for a suite of lab instrumentation, specifically an Exploris 240 Orbitrap mass spectrometer and a TSQ mass spectrometer, along with their associated gas chromatographs, detectors, and autosampler. This service is crucial for maintaining the peak operating condition of this complex equipment, which is vital for analyzing organic compounds in meteorites and other materials. The service plan must include an annual Performance Maintenance (PM) visit for each spectrometer and one corrective maintenance visit throughout the coverage period. The contractor must provide genuine manufacturer quality parts, a comprehensive PM parts kit for each visit, and guarantee priority response times. The contractor must also provide proof of certification from the manufacturer, Thermo Electron, to ensure compliance with OEM requirements. Performance will occur at Goddard Space Flight Center in the Agnostic Biosignatures Collective laboratory.
