Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole-source contract for a Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) to TSI Incorporated. This instrument is crucial for the Health Effects Laboratory Division, Physical Effects Research Branch, to obtain particle size distributions for test dusts, powders, droplets, and collected aerosols within the 10 to 800 nm size range. This capability is vital for studying inhalable particles and their potential health effects. The scope of work includes the fulfillment of the order, packing, and shipping of the equipment to the NIOSH Morgantown campus. An existing laboratory laptop will be used to analyze data, and an existing instrument cart will be utilized. The period of performance for delivery is from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027. The place of performance is NIOSH Morgantown at 1095 Willowdale Road, Building L, Mail Stop 2027, Morgantown, WV, 26505, Laboratory 3614.
