Description
This project involves the rehabilitation of the existing Runway 11-29 pavement, approximately 5,500 feet long and 100 feet wide. The scope of work includes the removal of existing asphalt, preparation of the base course, adjustments to fillet geometry for connector taxiways, transition asphalt tie-ins, installation of a P-401 bituminous surface course, runway pavement grooving, shoulder grading, and adjustments to underdrain cleanouts and electrical systems as needed. The project also includes marking the new pavement and other incidental work. This project is anticipated to be funded in part by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and is subject to federal regulations including Buy American Preference, Civil Rights Title VI Assurances, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation, Foreign Trade Restrictions, Davis-Bacon Requirements, and Build America, Buy America (BABA) provisions. Bidders must certify that all construction materials are manufactured in the U.S. The Indiana County Commissioners are requesting bids for all labor, materials, and equipment. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the total bid amount. A performance bond and a payment bond, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price, will be required from the successful bidder.
