Description
The City of Conover is soliciting bids for the Downtown Thread Trail Norfolk Southern Railroad Crossing project. The scope of work includes general site demolition, installation of a proposed sidewalk, fencing, a railroad crossing, and associated grading and erosion control. Bidding documents can be examined at the City of Conover Planning Department and McGill Associates, PA. Digital copies of bid documents are available for purchase for $50.00 per set from www.mcgillassociates.com. Bidders must comply with North Carolina contractor licensing requirements. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The project has a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) requirement of 10%. Bidders must make a good faith effort to utilize minority businesses and comply with federal regulations including Executive Order No. 11246, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours Standard Act, and relevant CFR sections.
