Description
The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a qualified and experienced executive search firm to assist its Board of Directors in recruiting and selecting a successor for the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer (GM/CEO) position. The current GM/CEO's employment agreement expires in May 2027. The selected firm will be responsible for updating the job description and executive profile, conducting a national search to ensure a diverse slate of qualified candidates, facilitating a rigorous selection process including public finalist stages, conducting reference checks and leadership assessments, and overseeing the offer and contract negotiations. RTD, established in 1969, operates a mass transportation system across a 2,345 square-mile service area in the Denver metro region, serving over 3.09 million residents. It is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors and employs over 3,100 individuals. The firm will work under the direction of the Board, in coordination with the Chief People Officer and the Executive Manager of the Board Office, to find a GM/CEO capable of leading the agency effectively.
