Description
This solicitation is for fire system inspection and repair services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Western Colorado Healthcare System. The scope of work includes addressing deficiencies identified in fire alarm, sprinkler, and kitchen hood systems across multiple buildings. Services encompass repairs to visual notification, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components, as well as routine inspections, testing, and preventative/corrective maintenance to ensure system reliability. The contract is for a one-year period and covers repairs for various issues such as kitchen hood deficiencies, annual battery and sensor replacements in fire alarm systems, and quarterly sprinkler system repairs including gauge replacements, valve work, and signage. Specific tasks include repairing kitchen hood systems in NFS, Canteen, and CLC locations, replacing batteries and sensors in the parking garage and multiple buildings, and performing internal sprinkler inspections, valve replacements, and gauge replacements in numerous facilities. The contractor must comply with all relevant NFPA standards, Joint Commission requirements, and OSHA regulations. All work must be performed in accordance with the latest editions of applicable codes and standards, with the most stringent requirement applying in case of conflict.
