Description
This solicitation is for one (1) HYD-MECH S-23P Semi-Automatic Pivot Style Band Saw with transformer. The machine must be capable of miter cutting and have specific salient characteristics including a 16" x 20" rectangular capacity, a 1-1/4" x 16'10" blade size, and operate on 240V/3PH. It must also include features such as a variable vise pressure, adjustable work stop, coolant system, and a digital readout for blade tension. The band saw will be delivered to Building 171, 3rd floor, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709. The contractor will be responsible for installation and providing training to shipyard personnel. The equipment comes with a 12-month warranty on parts and labor after installation, and a two-year warranty on parts. All personnel visiting the shipyard must be U.S. citizens and comply with entry requirements, including obtaining a DBIDS credential. The use of portable electronic devices in controlled industrial areas is prohibited.
