Description
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking a single performer to lead the commercialization and manufacturing strategies for technologies developed under the Resuscitation and Prevention of Ischemia-Induced Dysfunction (RAPIID) program. The RAPIID program aims to deliver a shelf-stable blood analog system that can be manufactured at scale and advance toward regulatory authorization within three years. The selected performer for Task Area 4 (TA-4) will work across the RAPIID portfolio to identify market opportunities, assess manufacturing plans, develop pricing and procurement strategies, and strengthen supply chains. Responsibilities include conducting market research, recruiting subject matter experts, connecting performers with investors, and ensuring commercial viability after DARPA funding ends. The performer will develop a modular and adaptable framework for financing, scalability, market entry, and licensing, ensuring individual components cohere into a transition-ready system. This solicitation is for Phase 1 activities (months 1-12) and requires an abstract submission by June 29, 2026. The award instrument will be an Other Transaction Agreement. Collaboration across task areas (TA-1: Blood Analog Components, TA-2: Fielding Technologies, TA-3: Regulatory Advancement, and TA-4: Commercialization & Sustainment) is crucial for program success.
