Description
The City of Fort Myers is soliciting bids for comprehensive mowing and vegetation control services for its maintained ditches and canals. The primary objective is to ensure proper drainage and maintain the functionality of the stormwater conveyance system, which is critical for flood prevention. Services include mowing of side slopes and ditch/canal bottoms, trimming around structures, and debris removal. Work will be measured and paid on a per linear foot basis. The contractor must demonstrate at least five years in business under the current company name and maintain mandatory minimum qualifications throughout the agreement term. Services must be performed using appropriate equipment for the terrain and site conditions, preventing damage to infrastructure and the environment. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and traffic control standards where necessary. The contract duration is three years with two one-year renewal options.
