Description
The City of Moline intends to request the release of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on or about June 26, 2026. These funds will support several tiered projects and programs as outlined in the CDBG 2026 Annual Action Plan. The projects include the Community Housing Services (CHS) Program, which provides financial assistance for housing rehabilitation and critical repairs to income-qualified owner-occupied households. The Structural Neighborhood Abatement Program (SNAP) will support the demolition and removal of dilapidated accessory structures in low- and moderate-income areas. Additionally, the Neighborhood Infrastructure Projects (NIP) program will fund the installation, replacement, and extension of public infrastructure such as streets, curbs, gutters, storm drains, sidewalks, and bridges in eligible areas. All proposed activities are categorically excluded from National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) requirements. Environmental reviews and documentation are on file with the City of Moline's Community & Economic Development Department.
