Description
The City of Rockford is soliciting bids for city-wide street repairs, designated as Group No. 6 - 2026, with a primary focus on alleyways. This project encompasses a range of services including alley reconstruction, alley resurfacing, and parking lot resurfacing. Associated repairs will include curbs, gutters, sidewalks, approach pavements, and structural repairs as needed across various locations within the city. The scope of work involves comprehensive alley and parking lot improvements. Specific tasks include alleyway resurfacing and patching, curb and gutter repairs, sidewalk repairs, alleyway and driveway approach repairs, and structural repairs. For alleyway reconstruction, the project also includes storm sewer work. Additionally, parking lot resurfacing will be performed with associated repairs to curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and drainage systems. The project details are further elaborated in the attached plan sheets, which outline specific quantities for various repair items such as Earth Excavation, Aggregate Base Course, Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder and Surface Courses, PCC Approach Pavement and Sidewalk, Combination Curb and Gutter, and Surface Removal. Traffic control and protection measures will also be implemented throughout the project.
