Description
The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), is soliciting proposals from qualified Design-Build Firms for the design, permitting, and construction of the William Walker Aquatic Center. This facility is intended to support community programming, lap swimming, recreational water activities, and ADA-accessible aquatic amenities. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering a fully functional aquatic center that meets the City's design criteria and regulatory standards. The project scope includes conducting community engagement meetings, completing detailed design, pre-construction engineering, permitting, site preparation, procurement of all materials and services, project management, and construction. The Design-Build firm will be expected to adhere to rigorous design criteria for architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and aquatic systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards, including LEED Silver rating for sustainability.
