Description
Macon-Bibb County is soliciting sealed bids for "Paving The Way Project 9" for the Engineering Department. This project involves various road paving and resurfacing activities, including milling, patching, asphalt application, and striping across numerous streets within Macon and Bibb County, Georgia. The scope includes full-depth milling, patching up to four inches deep, and applying 12.5mm and 9.5mm Superpave asphalt. Additionally, the project requires the installation of sewer and water valve risers, adjustments for manholes and water valves, and traffic signal loop installation. Striping will include centerlines, edge lines, lane lines, painted arrows, and crosswalks. The contractor will also be responsible for clipping and removing grass from shoulders. The project duration is 150 calendar days following receipt of all necessary railroad permits, with work commencing within 10 calendar days of the notice to proceed. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 24, 2026.
