Description
NASA/NSSC requires an investigation to develop a camera design concept and define electrical, thermal, mechanical, and flight software interfaces for the Aerosol Radiometer for Global Observation of the Stratosphere (ARGOS) instrument, which is part of the Stratosphere Troposphere Response using Infrared Vertically-resolved light Explorer (STRIVE) mission. The investigation will last for 12 months from the award date. Key deliverables include a Preliminary Interface Control Document (ICD) within 3 months of award and a Final ICD within 6 months of award. The contractor will also provide 4 hours per week of engineering support from month 6 to month 12. The camera specifications include a specific mechanical form factor, thermal requirements, black anodized aluminum coating, and considerations for contamination. It will also feature co-addition acquisition algorithms and sub-windowing capabilities. The camera must meet a three-year lifetime and survive a radiation environment. Technical interchange meetings, status reports, and reviews such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), and Pre-Ship Review (PSR) will be conducted.
