Submission Instructions
Electronic or Mail/Hand Delivery/Courier Service (USPS, FedEx, etc.) - Central Bidding or Lauderdale County Purchasing Department, Meridian, MS. Envelopes must be clearly marked with "BID# 4034R USED 4,000-GALLON COMMERCIAL WATER TRUCK". Electronic bids can be submitted via Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Sealed bids can be submitted by mail, courier service, or hand delivery to the Lauderdale County Purchasing Department, 2600 Courthouse Blvd, 2nd Floor, Meridian, MS 39301, Monday thru Friday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Bids must be received by the acceptance date and time. Names of companies submitting bids will be publicly read after the time and in a designated room and place. No extension of the bidding period will be made other than by a formal written addendum. Any bids received after the date and time listed above will not be accepted. The County reserves the right to select the bid which best meets the needs of Lauderdale County. The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and waive informalities in bidding. The County will award the bid based on compliance with specifications, condition and suitability of the offered vehicle, total price, delivery timeline, and vendor reliability and past performance (if applicable). The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities. Payment to vendor will be made 30 days from invoice date and after the vehicle has been received. Upon award, the agreement between vendor and the County will be governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi and enforced in the County of Lauderdale. After award, bids are subject to public inspection. Any confidential or proprietary information should be marked as such with a brief explanation as to why. Entire bids may not be considered proprietary. When the vehicle has been delivered, the Owner will receive and inspect the vehicle. At this time, the Owner will make note of any items not received or damaged and will discuss with the delivery contractor and awarded vendor. All bids must include: 1. The completed bid forms and documents. 2. Vehicle make, model, year, and VIN. 3. Current mileage and condition report. 4. Itemized pricing, including any additional work needed to meet the above specifications. 5. Include Photos of the actual truck being offered (minimum: exterior, interior, tank, pumps, valves). 6. Estimated delivery date. 7. Warranty information for any new parts or labor. 8. An executed copy of the Bid Conflict of Interest & Non-Collusion SIGNED AND NOTARIZED (Pages 11 & 12) must be included with your submission. 9. All responses should be submitted in a sealed envelope containing your company's name and the bid name clearly marked on the outside: "BID# 4034R USED 4,000-GALLON COMMERCIAL WATER TRUCK". Bidder may withdraw the bid before the time fixed for the opening of bids, by communicating its purpose in writing to Lauderdale County. Upon receipt of such notice, the unopened bid will be returned to the bidder. All bids will be valid until a contract has been awarded. All bids will be publicly read aloud at the date and time specified in the public notice. Bids may be held by Lauderdale County for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids prior to contract award. The County reserves the right to waive technical irregularities in the form of the bid which do not alter the quality or quantity of the goods or service, and the County may reject any or all bids when it is in the best interest of the County to do so. Award of the bid will not be altered, changed or amended except by an instrument in writing executed by the parties hereto. Description

Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors is soliciting competitive sealed bids for one or more used commercial water trucks meeting or exceeding specified requirements. The county intends to procure a truck to serve as a tanker/tender for a volunteer fire department. Key specifications include a 2016 or newer model year, a maximum of 120,000 miles, an International chassis preferred, a minimum GVWR sufficient for a 4,000-gallon tank, and a diesel engine. The water tank must have a minimum capacity of 4,000 gallons with a pump capacity of 700 GPM or greater, featuring pump-and-roll capability. The truck must be fully operational and capable of delivery to Lauderdale County, Mississippi, with a minimum of 50% tread life remaining on tires and functional brakes meeting DOT requirements. The exterior must be structurally sound with no major rust affecting performance or safety. Additional required features include specific rear dump valves, fill ports, and pump outlet ports, as well as an epoxy coating for the tank interior or equivalent corrosion-resistant coating. The paint color should be red, or pricing should be provided if it is not currently red. Delivery to Lauderdale County, Mississippi, is required.
