Description
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is seeking a licensed General Contractor to furnish, install, and commission a fully functional employee kitchen and adjacent coffee nook within the Zeltmann 500MW Power Plant located at 31-03 20th Avenue, Astoria, NY. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and disposal necessary for a complete installation, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations and compliance with all safety and security requirements. The scope of work includes providing and installing casework, countertops, appliances (refrigerator, electric oven/range, over-range microwave), sink and faucet, and potentially a dishwasher as an add-alternate. A coffee nook with additional countertop surface, lower cabinets, and electrical outlets is also required. All necessary electrical and plumbing work, including new dedicated circuits and tie-ins to existing water supply, must be performed in accordance with applicable codes. The project also includes minor drywall patching, painting, backsplash installation, trim, and finishing carpentry. Finally, the contractor will furnish and install one commercial-grade table and eight compatible chairs.
