Description
The Town of Skowhegan's Highway Department is soliciting bids for a new wheeled excavator with attachments. The lease term is for either 5 or 6 years, with an option to purchase the equipment outright for $1.00 at the end of the lease period. The excavator must be the manufacturer's latest model and meet all specified requirements, including engine, powertrain, hydraulics, electrical systems, operator station, and frame structures. Several attachments are also specified, including a steel wrist x12 rotator with gripper cassette, a 28" dig bucket, a 51" grading bucket, an Indeco IMH8 mulching head, and a steel wrist hydraulic grapple. The bid proposal form requires separate pricing for the 5-year lease, 6-year lease, and a 5-year extended warranty option. The Town will consider delivery date, parts support, service capabilities, and dealership experience in addition to price when awarding the bid.
