Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Charleston VA Medical Center requires FibroScan devices to noninvasively measure liver stiffness and fat content, crucial for managing Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). The FibroScan's proprietary VCTE and CAP technologies offer significant advantages in time, cost, patient comfort, and operator error compared to traditional methods. Currently, patient data is manually entered into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, leading to potential security risks, workflow inefficiencies, and incorrect data entry. The government intends to award a sole-source contract to Fidelis Sustainability Distribution LLC for these devices and an automated integration solution. This solution will securely transmit data between the FibroScan devices and the EHR system, reducing labor and errors, enabling automatic transfer of doctor's orders, and allowing remote review of historical patient results. Services to be rendered solely by Fidelis Sustainability Distribution LLC's certified technicians include installation, training, validation, preventative services, and repair services. The place of performance is the Charleston VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
