The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Corrections (DOC), is initiating a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process for on-call inmate dental services. This includes screenings, examinations, hygienist services, and treatment delivery within strict clinical timelines. The selected vendor will be responsible for continuity of care, emergency response, medication prescribing, inmate education, and maintaining dental standards consistent with ACA accreditation requirements. Services will be provided at the Atlanta City Detention Center, located at 254 Peachtree Street, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia 30303, which has an operational capacity of 1,183 inmates. The dentist must be licensed in Georgia, have a minimum of ten years of general dentistry experience, and at least five years of experience specifically in a jail or correctional setting. Services provided will include routine and emergency dental care, dental screenings, examinations, tooth extractions, temporary fillings, hygienic services, education, and consultation. Major oral surgery or the replacement of full dentures, crowns, or bridgework are excluded. The dentist will be on-call and available with two-day advanced notice, typically on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, and will also be available for telephone consultations. A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be held to provide further details and address questions.
