Description
The Office of Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) is seeking proposals to advance investigational Bundibugyo virus (BDBV) vaccine candidates using the VSV vaccine platform. This effort includes manufacturing process development and production of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Phase 1 clinical trial material (CTM), with a goal of up to 10,000 doses, and options for up to 100,000 doses. The project also involves early regulatory engagement to inform critical-path IND-enabling nonclinical studies and a Phase 1 safety and immunogenicity trial. The ultimate goal is to produce cGMP CTM to enable its use in a clinical trial for the ongoing 2026 BDBV outbreak and to identify successful BDBV vaccine candidates for further development. The solicitation is being managed through the Rapid Response Partnership Vehicle (RRPV) Consortium, an enterprise partnership with industry and academia. The anticipated period of performance is up to five years from the date of award, with an estimated total USG funding of approximately $75 million. Proposals are due by June 26, 2026.
