Description
The National Park Service (NPS) requires a contractor to retrofit a government-provided 2021 International MV607 truck. This retrofit will include a J-Tech engineered service body, a truck-mounted attenuator (TMA) meeting MUTCD and NCHRP 350/MASH requirements, and associated safety pod components. The purpose of this project is to support roadway safety operations, enhance worker protection, and ensure compliance with applicable standards for the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and technical services necessary for the retrofit. This includes transporting the vehicle from Greenbelt Park, Maryland, to the contractor's facility (which may be outside of Maryland), performing the engineering and installation, and returning the completed vehicle. The work must comply with J-Tech engineering specifications, International Truck body-builder guidelines, and applicable roadway safety standards. Deliverables include an installation plan, the completed retrofit, updated electrical diagrams, operational test documentation, and warranty information.
