Description
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking a Supplemental Medical Review Contractor (SMRC) to perform post-payment medical reviews and related activities. This includes specialty reviews for issues identified by federal agencies and program integrity reviews to identify fraud, waste, and abuse within the traditional Medicare program (Parts A, B, and DMEPOS). The contractor will be responsible for tasks such as reviewing claims, educating providers, extrapolating overpayments, and providing appeals support. The work is nationwide and requires the ability to respond to dynamic workloads.
