Description
This solicitation is for the procurement and delivery of Industrial Scientific Ventis MX5 Pro multi-gas detection equipment, associated docking stations, and all related accessories. The equipment is intended for use by the Veterans Affairs (VA) Safety Department and Fire Department to support emergency response, fire suppression, hazardous atmosphere monitoring, confined space entry, and occupational safety operations at VA facilities. The scope includes new, unused, commercially available equipment that is intrinsically safe and capable of reliable operation in hazardous environments. Specific requirements include multi-gas monitors with up to five-gas sensing capabilities (Oxygen, CO, H2S, HCN, LEL), an integrated pump, audible/visual/vibrating alarms, rechargeable battery system, data logging, and rugged, water-resistant housings. The contract also covers docking stations for automated bumptesting and calibration, along with necessary accessories such as chargers, regulators, calibration gas, tubing, sampling pumps, and fittings. Deployment, installation, and comprehensive online training for designated staff are also included. The delivery location is the VA Perry Point Safety and Occupational Health office, with distribution to other VA facilities and the Perry Point Fire Department.
