Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for an electrical performance monitoring system. This system is needed to generate time-resolved data for an open-source physical property database, supporting research into the reliability of advanced packaging in heterogeneously integrated semiconductor devices. The system must be capable of providing controlled, accurate current for multiple test vehicles for in-situ resistance measurements during multi-stress accelerated aging tests, enabling the detection of failure initiation and the collection of real-time degradation data. The system should be a complete, modular DC current-stress/electrical analyzer system suitable for rack or bench operation, with at least 8 independently programmable DC source output channels. Each channel must be programmable for current, voltage, compliance limits, output state, and fault response, supporting constant-current and constant-voltage operation. The system must be capable of continuous, long-duration operation and include all necessary components, software licenses, and documentation. It should support a minimum DC current capability of 3A per channel and a voltage compliance capability of 50V per channel, with a minimum output power of 100W per channel. The system must also support four-wire remote sensing and integration with an existing data acquisition system for time-resolved monitoring. The intended current density is approximately 2.0x10^4 A/cm^2, and the system will be used with test vehicles such as solder joints (ubump, TSV, C4 bump) located in external environmental chambers. NIST is requesting information on industry capabilities, company summaries, and standard commercial pricing. Responses should not exceed three pages and should avoid excessive marketing language. The anticipated period of performance for delivery is within 5 months or less after receipt of order. NIST will use this information for market research to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy and will not award a contract based on these responses.
