Description
The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to procure high-quality, third-party short-form content providers. These providers will contribute to UMGC's upcoming Workforce Development Marketplace, designed to serve adult learners, including working professionals and military-affiliated individuals. Select courses may be evaluated for credit equivalency towards UMGC programs. The offerings should align with UMGC's mission of providing affordable, flexible, and stackable noncredit learning opportunities that meet labor market demands. Emphasis is placed on skills-focused learning, strong learner outcomes, and enterprise-ready capabilities. Programs should cater to individuals seeking to upskill or reskill for career advancement, including those utilizing employer tuition assistance and active-duty military learners using Credentialing Assistance (CA). Key requirements include asynchronous delivery with defined start and end dates for CA-funded offerings, mobile-first design, adherence to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards, and the ability to integrate with UMGC's systems via LTI 1.3, xAPI, and SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0. Vendors must also demonstrate capabilities in learner support, reporting, and lead generation. Priority content categories include AI, Project Management, Cybersecurity & IT, Data Analytics, Healthcare & Allied Health, English Language Learning, Communication, Critical Thinking, and People Management & Leadership.
