Description
This is a re-advertisement for the fire alarm replacement project at Tabor Correctional Institution, located at 4600 Swamp Fox Highway West, Tabor City, NC 28463. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the institution. Attendance at this meeting is required to be eligible to bid. Note that if you attended the first pre-bid conference on May 14, 2026, you do not need to attend this second one. Complete plans and specifications are available for inspection at the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction - DECM offices and through various online plan rooms. A deposit of $150.00 is required for bid documents, which will be returned if all documents are submitted in good condition within 10 days after the bid date. Bidders must also submit a Form Identification of Minority Business Participation. General contractors must hold an Intermediate or Unlimited license classification. A bid bond of 5% of the proposal amount, or a cash deposit/certified check of equal amount, is required. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price will also be required.
