Description
This solicitation seeks an update to an existing Arc Flash Hazard Assessment for the electrical distribution system across 91 buildings (totaling 663 electrical panels) at the United States Department of Agriculture's National Centers for Animal Health campus in Ames, Iowa. The work involves incorporating current data, confirming protective device settings, and recalculating incident energy values according to the latest applicable standards, building upon a 2022 study. The contractor will be responsible for reviewing existing documentation, performing limited field spot verification, updating the SKM model, conducting system analysis including short-circuit and arc flash calculations, providing updated NFPA 70E and NEC 110.16 compliant labels, and submitting a comprehensive report with recommended mitigations. The government will provide the 2022 SKM Power Tools project file, electrical one-line diagrams, and facility access.
