Description
The City of Los Angeles requires repair and upgrade services for its Advanced Transportation System and Coordination (ATSAC) fiber optic communication network. This project involves installing conduit and new fiber optic cables along 10 critical paths to connect existing traffic communication hubs. The goal is to restore fiber and add backhaul paths, thereby strengthening the network and providing redundancy for efficient traffic management. These upgrades are crucial for ensuring successful mobility across the city for the Games Route Network (GRN) and Games Enhanced Transit System (GETS), as well as for the approaches to venues in preparation for the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Bidders must possess a valid California Contractor's License Classification of "A" or a combination of "C" licenses. Bid documents are available through the City of Los Angeles (CLA) Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMPLA) at www.RAMPLA.org. This project is subject to the City's Local Business Preference Program.
