Description
This project involves the installation of a 16-inch ductile iron water main across the Cedar River at 7th Avenue, replacing the existing water main at the 8th Avenue Bridge Cedar River Crossing. The work extends from 7th Avenue at Valor Way SW, across the Cedar River, to 1st Street SE. The estimated cost for this project is $2,560,000. Key milestones include the completion of construction, disinfection, disinfection, hydrostatic testing, and connection of the water main by January 15, 2027, along with restoration of the riverbed and removal of materials. Final completion is expected by April 30, 2027.
