Description
The County of Moore is soliciting proposals for Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation Services for the Department of Social Services. This procurement may be funded by federal grant funds, requiring adherence to all applicable federal laws and standards. The County intends to contract with one or more secondary providers to offer transportation to Moore County Medicaid-approved clients for appointments within and outside of Moore County. Services include scheduling, client notification, and adherence to specific pick-up and drop-off procedures. Vendors must be approved by the Moore County Department of Social Services prior to service provision and must inform the department of any client no-shows within 4 hours. Drivers are expected to wait 5 to 15 minutes for clients and must have a valid driver's license with no major violations. The County also requires vendors to participate in a random alcohol and drug testing program compliant with the Federal Transit Authority (FTA).
