Description
Ector County Public Works is soliciting bids for trucking and hauling services to support various road construction and maintenance projects. The services required include the hauling of materials such as hot asphalt, caliche, and crushed rock. Bidders are expected to provide hourly rates for belly dumps, end dumps (12- and 18-yard loads), and 18-wheeler water trucks equipped with spray bars. Standby time rates are also required. Successful bidders will coordinate with county supervisors for daily sign-off on hauls, with billing processed bi-weekly through the county's normal payment system. The scope of work involves transporting materials from designated sources to project sites as directed by authorized county personnel. This includes the delivery and pickup of all road construction materials and water for dust control and compaction. Specific equipment requirements include 18-wheeler water trucks with spray bars capable of carrying 5,000-8,000 gallons, and belly dump and end dump trucks with capacities of approximately 12-24 cubic yards. All equipment must be in good mechanical condition and comply with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards.
