Description
Bartow County is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms to provide engineering design services for the redesign of the intersection of Hamilton Crossing and Fire Tower Road. The project aims to reduce traffic congestion, enhance safety, and improve traffic flow, particularly during peak hours. The selected consultant will work closely with Bartow County and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) throughout the design process. The scope of services includes concept development, preliminary design, and final design, encompassing traffic engineering analyses, geometric layout development, multimodal considerations, drainage impact evaluations, and preliminary cost estimates. The consultant will also be responsible for environmental studies, utility coordination, and providing assistance during the construction phase, including bid document preparation and contractor coordination. This is a multi-phase, project-specific contract anticipated to be awarded to one firm. The selection process involves two phases: Phase I evaluates Statements of Qualifications based on experience, qualifications, resources, and workload capacity. Phase II involves a technical approach and past performance evaluation for shortlisted firms. The contract amount will be determined through negotiations.
