Description
The County of Moore is soliciting bids for a new utility service truck to be used by the Public Works Department. The truck must be a 2026 or newer model, with a 550 or 5500 class chassis, four-wheel drive, crew cab, and a minimum 19,500 lb GVWR. It should be equipped with a turbo diesel engine, automatic transmission with PTO provision, and a 4.30 rear axle. The exterior should be white, with all-terrain tires, a spare tire kit, high-capacity fuel tank(s), skid plates, and a trailer tow package. Specific features include white/amber strobes, a roof-mount LED light bar, and a GoLight LED spotlight. The interior should have heavy-duty vinyl seating, power windows and locks, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4x4 engagement, an integrated brake controller, cruise control, an AM/FM radio with Bluetooth, and a power inverter. The service body should be a 132-inch painted white model with a fliptop curbside and a spray-in bedliner. It must include a Class 5 hitch, a municipal vice bracket, a 14.5-foot ladder rack, and a powerful hydraulic-driven air compressor. Additional equipment includes a front-mounted winch, a Whelen Pioneer Plus Max spotlight, and a Vanair Reliant RC4000 air compressor with a hose reel. The bid must also include the manufacturer's warranty information and operations/maintenance manuals.
