Description
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is exploring the re-competition of its contract for a Statistical and Data Coordinating Center (SDCC) to support its clinical research in infectious diseases (CRID). This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather market capabilities and industry best practices for services including centralized data management, statistical analysis, and specimen tracking. The anticipated scope covers data collection and management systems compliant with 21 CFR Part 11, data quality assurance, preparation of study materials, communication and collaboration, statistical design and analysis, clinical site training, electronic specimen tracking, secure data storage, data sharing, and project management. NIAID is seeking feedback on various aspects of the potential contract, including the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence tools, suitable data platforms, system transition strategies, data standards compliance, communication protocols, emerging statistical methodologies, challenges in supporting clinical sites, specimen tracking integration, data storage requirements, data de-identification procedures, and critical elements of program and project management. Vendors are also asked to provide information on their organizational overview, relevant experience with SDCC or comparable functions, technical capabilities, international experience, and any anticipated teaming or subcontracting arrangements.
