Description
The City of Kinston Planning and Development Services Department is soliciting bids for comprehensive code enforcement abatement services. These services include: * **Grass Cutting:** Maintaining vegetation to a height of no more than two inches, including mowing, trimming, and edging. This also covers weed control for chronic violators and excessive growth. * **Boarding Up Structures/Painting:** Securing vacant or damaged structures by boarding up openings and painting the boarded areas. * **Public Nuisance Abatement:** General lot clean-up, debris removal, and graffiti removal. Any trash exceeding a standard 96-gallon container will be considered an extra charge. * **Emergency Abatement Services:** Responding to urgent needs outside of regular work hours, including weekends and evenings. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment and insurance, including Commercial General Liability, Professional Liability (if applicable), Workers Compensation, and Commercial Automobile Insurance, with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Bids are due by June 22, 2026, and the contract term is for six months, from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026.
