Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) requires services for the analysis of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) within the HOPE 1000 study. This longitudinal study, conducted at Duke University between 2019 and 2024, involved 477 participants and collected 903 plasma samples. The contractor will perform targeted and non-targeted analysis of PFAS congeners using liquid chromatography with high-resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS). This includes quantifying novel and legacy PFAS, identifying sources of exposure, and assessing associations between exposure biomarkers and maternal metabolic health. The analysis will also extend to other environmental exposures (exposomics) and metabolomics. The contractor will be responsible for sample handling, data cleaning, annotation, quality control, and transferring all data and materials to NIEHS investigators. The period of performance is approximately nine months, with proposals due by June 18, 2026.
