Description
This project involves significant upgrades to traffic signal systems at two key intersections in Chico, California: Memorial Way and Vallombrosa Ave, and Memorial Way and Camelia Way. The work includes the installation of new pedestrian and bicycle crossings, widening of pedestrian refuges, upgrading pedestrian ramps to meet ADA requirements, and modifications to the signal systems, including audible pedestrian signals. The project is funded by Local Road Safety and Transportation funds, with an estimated engineer's cost of $500,000. The contract time is 30 working days. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess a Class A Contractor License or a combination of classes required for the work. The project is subject to prevailing wage requirements, both state and federal. Bidders are required to obtain bid documents through the Public Purchase online bidding service. All questions and requests for information must be submitted through the project link on Public Purchase at least five business days prior to the bid opening. A bidder's bond for at least 10% of the total bid amount is required with the bid submittal.
