Description
The City of Cambridge is soliciting bids for the repair and refinishing of six stage floors across the school district. The project is scheduled to take place during the summer vacation, between June 29th and August 21st, 2026. The scope of work includes sealing doorways to control dust, removing and infilling abandoned stage light boxes to match existing floor patterns, sanding stage floors to bare wood, and applying two coats of clear finish. For the Cambridge Port School, the black painted stage surface will be repainted black. The Baldwin School stage's edge board needs refastening. Additionally, the Amigos School has two sets of steps at the back of the stage that require screening and recoating. All debris must be removed from the site daily, and CPS dumpsters are not to be used. Parking is available at most schools, with only street parking at two locations.
