Description
The City of Tucson is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified contractors for a Job Order Contract (JOC) to provide specialty construction services for zoo exhibits. These services will include turn-key installations or modifications involving sculpted shotcrete, animal containment, life safety and support (LSS) systems, and general plumbing. Services may encompass design, engineering, fabrication, permitting, and installation. Individual job orders are not to exceed $1,000,000, with an anticipated typical job cost of $800,000. The contract term is one year with four one-year renewal options. The City emphasizes that this is an indefinite-quantity contract, and services will be requested on an as-needed basis, not constituting an exclusive commitment. The scope of work may vary per job order but generally includes design, engineering, permitting, installation, construction estimating, scheduling, coordination, and warranty repairs. Specific areas of expertise required include rockwork/shotcrete, animal containment systems (wire or steel enclosures, holding facilities, transfer units), and LSS/plumbing systems for pools and general facilities.
