Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Reston, VA, is seeking to purchase one pull-behind travel trailer to support the Florida Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit's field science program. The trailer will be used to house graduate students and technicians conducting wildlife sampling in the Everglades and across Florida, providing a safe, climate-controlled, and low-cost accommodation during fieldwork. The requested trailer should be a brand name or equivalent to the 2026 Open Range Colt 26DBS, measuring approximately 30ft in length, with a bumper pull, capable of sleeping at least five adults, and equipped with an A/C unit (minimum 13,500 BTU), interior refrigerator (minimum 6 cu ft), interior sink, interior cooktop, a minimum of three separated dedicated double beds (or larger), at least one slide-out, driving/brake lights with vehicle connection, tanks for fresh, black, and gray water (minimum 30 gallons each), a water heater, and a hard body construction (no canvas walls/sides). The trailer is to be delivered to 2295 Mowry Road, Bldg. 106, Gainesville, FL 32611. This solicitation is set aside for Small Business concerns and will be awarded based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA).
