Description
The 412th Test Wing (412 TW)/Innovation at Edwards Air Force Base, California, is seeking information regarding capabilities to provide Crashed, Damaged, or Disabled Aircraft Recovery (CDDAR) trailers. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis and Request for Information (RFI), not a solicitation for quotes or bids. The anticipated contract type is firm-fixed-price, with NAICS code 336214 (Trailer Manufacturing) and PSC 7110 (Aircraft Ground Support Equipment). The RFI specifies two types of trailers: **Composite Trailer Specs:** An 8.5x26x8 foot box trailer with features such as a 10'4" tall interior, rear spoiler, drop sides, RV door, LED lighting, 7000lb axles, hydraulic front jack, 112-volt battery, steel floor, E-track, a 100-gallon fuel station with pump, LED lighting package, a 2500 BTU mini-split AC/heat unit with 50-amp service, lower base cabinets for respirator storage, an installed equipment rack, an onboard air compressor, a bathroom with toilet and sink, a 114-gallon water tank, and an additional battery. Optional additions include a mini refrigerator/freezer, microwave, building on the side with a door, Mobilestarlink, GoPro livestream, and a smart TV. This trailer is a bumper-pull hitch style. **Equipment Trailer Specs:** An 8.5x20x8 foot box trailer with similar standard features to the composite trailer, but also includes a 5500lb winch with synthetic rope, a custom-built storage rack for shovels, rakes, and brooms, and an additional battery. Optional additions include 3/8" plywood walls, 200 watts of solar power, and a flat front. This trailer is also a bumper-pull hitch style. Both trailer types require off-road capability (wheels, tires, suspension, etc.) and shipping to Edwards AFB if not local. Vendors are requested to provide capability statements, highlighting relevant experience, business size, CAGE code/DUNS, similar contracts, program/project names, contract numbers, administering office/address, and a point of contact with a phone number.
