Description
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), specifically the Community Outreach and Prevention Support (CPO), intends to award a sole source purchase order to Elk National Foundation for a video podcast project. This project aims to raise awareness among parents and caregivers about the costs and consequences of drug use among youth and young adults. The initiative will involve producing 10 bi-weekly podcast episodes of 25-40 minutes each, running from July 2026 to March 2027. Additionally, the vendor will create short-form videos for social media platforms like YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels, repurposing content from the podcast episodes to maintain weekly engagement and expand reach to youth audiences. The vendor will also coordinate the placement of these podcast episodes on their YouTube channel, expecting over 1 million views, and facilitate the placement of DEA's digital banner ads and PSAs across social media platforms, including Google and YouTube, aiming for over 14 million impressions. Links to DEA's 'Just Think Twice' website and the 'Operation Prevention' peer resources will be integrated with the podcast episodes. The vendor will consult with DEA's CPO to ensure content accuracy and effective prevention messaging. All contractor personnel will be subject to background screening if a need arises, and while services are performed outside DEA facilities, contractors must be escorted if they need to enter a DEA facility. A final analytics report summarizing media impressions and other relevant metrics will be provided.
